Branding Photography for Women Entrepreneurs
Here at Kathy Howard Portrait, I specialize in high-end personal branding photography and headshot portraits for women small business owners in the Raleigh area.
My passion is helping brands hone in on what looks best for their business and all the while creating an environment that allows clients to feel confident in front of the camera.
I take a unique approach to brand photography by focusing on the business owner and the qualities that define her true beauty. I take a closer look at the woman behind the business and create a truly memorable session. When you leave my studio, you will feel empowered and ready to take on the world.
I understand the challenges of stepping in front of the camera. As a mother and business owner, I often shy away from being the one photographed. But I also understand the power and freedom experienced when being photographed, especially when the photographer allows me to express myself as I am.

Raleigh Studio Portrait Photographer
All my branding and headshot photography sessions take place in my studio in downtown Raleigh. My photography style is described as classic and elegant. It is designed to bring out my clients’ feminine strength and beauty.
I use natural posing to flatter my clients. The studio has neutral colors which complement every brand. I utilize backdrops and props as needed to reflect the style and personality of the brand being photographed.
Each session includes an in-person or video consultation and a comprehensive questionnaire to learn more about your brand and photography needs. We go over what types of images you need for your business, including photos for social media, your website and marketing campaigns. I create a shot list for your session to ensure we don’t miss a thing.
At your consultation, we also discuss colors and props to incorporate into your session. At your photoshoot, we will have time for four to five different looks. Your consultation includes planning your wardrobe for your session. We will also discuss how to bring your brand elements into your wardrobe.

Brand photo sessions with Kathy Howard Portrait
All sessions are held in the studio located on Glenwood Avenue in downtown Raleigh. Your session includes pre-session professional hair and makeup with Wink Hair and Make Up.
The brands I work with are community-minded and serve their clients through wellness and beauty. Some of my past branding clients include health and wellness coaches, leaders in the beauty industry, food and beverage professionals and female authors.
After your hair and makeup are finished, we spend around two hours photographing. We work through various poses, backgrounds and outfits to get you a wide selection of images to use in your branding.
About two weeks after your session, we will meet for your Image Reveal, where you will see your portraits for the first time. Only purchase the images that you love and can’t live without.
What I hear the most about my services is how empowering and beautiful my clients feel in front of my camera. I achieve this by creating a space that is encouraging and relaxed. All are welcome just as they are in my studio.
